Carter Newell's frist album after fiddling for more than 4 decades, playing for Maine contra dances and traveling to Ireland, Scotland and Galicia, the Canadian Maritimes and learning tunes from past generations of down east fiddlers plays with his daughters and a host of musicians to put out his first solo CD. He also farms mussels and oysters and is a Ph.D. marine biologist and oceanographer. ... more
